Mitey Mite Ski Racing

Mitey Mite Ski Racing is a program for racers 6 years old and up. Our priorities are safety, fun, and learning. The child's skiing ability should include at least a strong wedge turn and the ability to ski with a group.  If the child is unable to load the chair by themselves, we require a parent to assist and load with their child.

The program starts in early December when Anthony Lakes Mountain Resort opens for the season and includes four hours of coaching and training each Saturday from 10 am to noon and 1 pm to 3 pm. Training continues through the end of March. Two (2) races are scheduled at Anthony Lakes: the President's Day Race in February, and the Broadway Blast in late March.  There are also travel opportunities available to race at other venues throughout the season.  For those traveling to ski races at other areas, coaching will be provided by ALSRA.

Mitey Mite ski team tuition is $250 for one child and $175 for each additional child.  Tuition includes coaching, training, and the use of an Anthony Lakes Ski Team jacket.  U. S.  Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) general membership is required for each child (http://my.ussa.org/membership/start), which is an additional cost of $20.  Ski team jackets will be provided by the team and are required to be returned at the end of the season.  Tuition does not include cost of lift ticket/season pass.
Helmets and ski area approved equipment are required.
